(1) To strengthen and support existing programs and develop new programs which offer youth the opportunity to participate in the Arts, by informing and training the general public, beginning with our youth, in areas that are at-risk.

(2) To provide an approach to personal achievement and character building in order to reduce the potential for failure and increase individual strength in our community's youth.

(3) To develop community awareness of individuals regarding the importance of creative expression through the arts.

The program will give students the ability to express themselves creativity in a space environment. The program uses a creative space where participants can be accepted and their limits challenged through thoughtful, quality dramatic and creative experiences. The facilitators work together to create a balance of structure and freedom while striving to meet the participants where they are, academically and socio-emotionally.

15 min. – Theater Improv and Warm Up Time

Theater warm-up exercises can help kids develop skills like
focus, listening, cooperation, and improvisation.
They can also help break the ice, warm up the body, and unite a cast.
Often known as “Free Play” or “Play Time,” our many centers include Dramatic Play, Sensory, Art, Building, Literacy, Writing, and Science. We work on social, emotional, and language skills such as using our words, taking turns, being patient, negotiating conflicts, etc. Gross Motor skills, running, jumping, skipping, movement, playing balls, fun games and more! In addition, our teacher brings over small groups or works 1-on-1 with building cognitive skills (colors, shapes, letters, sounds, numbers, counting, math/reading for older kids) based on each child’s level.

30 min. – Theater Drama/Creative Play Time

Our drama play areas include play structures area that invite children on pretend play adventures. You will think we're just playing, but we're actually working on developing our social skills: sharing, listening, problem solving, taking turns, nonverbal communication, playing together, kindness, gross motor, fine motor, social and emotional skills and more!

The creative drama activities build children's
self-discipline, self-esteem, and relationships with others. They do this by exploring their imagination and working on ways to improve concentration while having fun, engaging and unique activities

60 min. – Theater Practice Time

We love working on our cognitive, social, language, and fine motor skills as we pour, measure, sort, count, chat, and enjoy eating together.

Theater practices can help children develop many life skills, including:

Communication Youth learn to communicate with their audience, both verbally and nonverbally

Confidence Youth learn to speak clearly and confidently, and to be comfortable speaking in front of large audiences

Empathy Children learn to see life from other people's perspectives, and to understand the motivations of characters they play

Problem solving Children learn to communicate who, what, where, when, and why to the audience, and to approach problems from different angles

Creativity Youth learn to express themselves creatively, and to see the world through their own eyes

Teamwork Youth learn to work together as a group, and to trust each other

Adaptability Children learn to step outside their comfort zone, and to make mistakes and learn from them

30 min. – Theater Arts Performance

Students will act out what they have work on and practice for . This can be a live performance on stage or a virtual performance via Social Media Platforms . Youth will have gained the knowledge and skills to perform theatrical roles and scripts..
Theater can provide a well-rounded learning experience for children, including
improved communication skills, enhanced confidence, creative development, teamwork abilities, and the cultivation of empathy
